The vibrating screen is a key equipment used for rough screening and removal of heavy impurities in waste paper pulping and some mechanical pulp and chemical mechanical pulp production lines. Vibrating screens are indispensable equipment in modern waste paper pulping production lines.

The working principle of the vibrating screen is based on high-frequency, small-amplitude mechanical vibration and the screening effect of the screen plate:
Feeding: The diluted pulp (with a concentration typically ranging from 1.5% to 3.0%) enters from one end of the screen frame.
2. Vibration screening: Driven by a vibration motor or eccentric mechanism, the screen frame undergoes high-frequency reciprocating vibration at a certain Angle to the screen surface. This vibration has two key effects:
◦ Dispersion and conveying: Ensure the pulp is evenly distributed on the screen surface and moves forward to prevent fiber flocculation.
Screening and separation: The fine pulp (fibers and water) passes through the sieve holes on the sieve plate under the action of gravity and water flow and enters the next process. However, overly large light impurities (such as plastic sheets) are intercepted by the screen plate and pushed towards the slag discharge port at the front end of the screen frame along with the vibration for discharge.
3. Removal of heavy impurities: As the specific gravity of heavy impurities is greater than that of the pulp, they will settle in the specially designed slag collection trough at the bottom of the screen frame and be discharged through the regularly or continuously opened weight discharge valve, thus achieving effective separation from light impurities and accept pulp.
