Modern Pulping Production line M.C. Pressure Screen

As the “quality gatekeeper” on modern pulp production lines, the technical level of M.C. pressure screens directly affects the quality of the final paper products and production costs. This equipment features strong processing capacity, high screening efficiency and relatively low energy consumption. It is widely used in the fine screening process of various pulp materials such as waste paper pulp and bleached chemical pulp, playing a significant role in ensuring the quality of subsequent paper products and production stability.

The main working stages of the M.C. pressure screen
1. Feeding and pressurization: Medium-concentration pulp with a concentration of 2.5% to 4.5% is pushed by the feeding pump and enters the interior of the screen body from the side or bottom of the screen drum at a certain pressure.
2. Centrifugal separation: The rotor inside the screen drum rotates at high speed, generating a powerful centrifugal force. Under the action of centrifugal force, the fine pulp (fibers) is thrown to the surface of the screen drum, while the heavier impurities with a larger specific gravity (such as sand particles, metal shavings, etc.) are thrown to the outside of the screen drum and discharged through a dedicated slag discharge port, achieving primary purification.
3. Screening and pulse generation: This is the key to the M.C. pressure screen technology. The rotor is equipped with specially designed rotors. When the rotor passes over the surface of the screen drum, its special shape (usually airfoil shape) will instantly accelerate the pulp, generating a local negative pressure pulse on the inner side of the screen drum. This negative pressure pulse can reverse and suck back the fiber bundles and impurities blocked in the screen gap, making the screen gap unobstructed instantly. Immediately after, the positive pressure pulses generated at the rear of the rotor push the qualified fibers through the screen gaps towards the outside of the screen drum, becoming accept pulp.
4. Separation of accept pulp and tailings: The accept pulp passing through the screen gap is collected in the accept pulp chamber and sent out through the outlet pipe. The coarse fiber bundles, pulp lumps, plastic sheets and other impurities that do not pass through the screen gap are pushed to the end of the screen drum by the thrust force generated by the rotor and discharged from the tailings port.
This “positive pressure push and negative pressure backwash” synergistic effect enables continuous self-cleaning of the screen seams, ensuring the equipment can operate stably for a long time even at high concentrations, and achieving extremely high screening efficiency.
